Portrait photography – 21st birthday party for Elijah.
Congratulations to Elijah (Eli) Shaw on his recent 21st birthday. We were delighted when Eli’s parents, Bob and Karen asked if we could attend Eli’s 21st birthday party and take some photos for them as a lasting memento of this important family occasion.
Bob and Karen we’re hosting a party at their home in Wakefield, and had invited family and friends to help Eli celebrate his special birthday in style. Portrait photography is always fun at birthday parties, and especially so when we already knew many of the family from Julie and Martin’s wedding nearly two years ago.
We arrived early so that we could take some special relaxed portraits before all the guests arrived.
Proud parents Bob and Karen had portrait photos taken with Eli in their garden, and then dashed back to finish last minute preparations whilst we took some photos of Eli and his girlfriend Lauren.
What a lovely couple they are, laughing and joking with us in the summer sunshine.
Karen had prepared a beautiful feast for their party guests, and Bob was on ‘champagne’ duty, ensuring that everyone had a plentiful supply of drink.
They had ordered a very special personalised birthday cake for Eli, knowing his love of DJ-ing, which made a fantastic centrepiece to the heavenly sweet table, surrounded by macaroons, cream scones, and a mountainous dish of fresh raspberries and strawberries.
Karen had explained that she & Bob wanted to ensure that they had some professional photos for both themselves and Eli to keep.
As parents they wanted to ensure that their son had a wonderful 21st birthday party, and wanted to make sure that they all had professional pictures as keepsakes.
Once all the guests had arrived, everyone gathered together on the decking in the garden, to raise a glass to the birthday boy, and we recorded the whole gathering with a fun group photograph.
Bob & Karen had requested family portraits with Bob’s family and with Karen’s, as well as everyone together.
The warm sunny day was ideal for taking all the family portraits required, followed by some fun shots with Eli and his friends.
All in all, it was a wonderful 21st birthday party, and we were delighted to be able to capture some stunning family portrait photos that will be treasured for many years.
